Reading Wrap-Up (April 2019)

This is the list of books I read in April! If I wrote a review, I’ll link it! I only got around to 4 books in April, but you do what you can! I was in the height of preparing to graduate and unpacking, so there wasn’t a lot of time to read, but what I did manage to read I enjoyed!

What did you read in April?

Smoke and Key
Smoke & Key by Kelsey Sutton

#1. Smoke & Key by Kelsey Sutton- 5/5 Stars (Review) (Goodreads)

I read this for a blog tour, and I absolutely devoured it! The premise is so intriguing, and the story and characters were so creative and fun! As soon as I finished it, I went back to the beginning and read it again. (I love Smoke *heart eyes*)

Thanks to The Fantastic Flying Book Club for sending me a digital galley of the book! (Them sending me a copy in no way influenced my thoughts about the book)

Last Girl Lied To
Last Girll Lied To by L.E. Flynn

#2. Last Girl Lied To by L.E. Flynn- 3.5 Stars (Review) (Goodreads)

I also read this for a Fantastic Flying Book Cub hosted blog tour, and it was super intense! It had a lot of themes I wasn’t expecting, a solid mystery and intriguing characters! I wasn’t sure if I could trust anyone or what they were telling me! There were so many twists I didn’t see coming.

Once again, Thanks to The FFBC for sending me a digital galley of the book! (Them sending me a copy in no way influenced my thoughts about the book)

All We Could Have Been
All We Could Have Been by T.E. Carter

#3. All We Could Have Been by T.E. Carter- 4.5 Stars (Review) (Goodreads)

I’d like to personally thank The FFBC for sponsoring most of this month’s books :p I Read this for a blog tour hosted by them, and it was really good. It reminded me a bit of The Hate You give, in which the MC has some serious issues that influence who she is in the book. This was a bit of a murder mystery book, but if the mystery was on the back burner and you wanted to learn about the murderer’s sister and what happens to the family the murder leaves behind. It was a super cool concept and I would recommend it!

Thanks to The FFBC for sending me a digital galley. (Them sending me a copy in no way influenced my thoughts on the book)

#4. The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo by Taylor Jenkins Reid- 5/5 Stars (review to come) (Goodreads)

The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo
The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo by Taylor Jenkins Reid

The only book that The Fantastic Flying Book Club didn’t send me this month, but an amazing book nonetheless. This was my favorite book of the month, and will probably be one of my favorites of the year. I have never read a book told like this, and it was done beautifully! I love reading and watching media set in the 50’s-70’s of America, and the fact that she was the Marilyn Monroe of her time made this a glamorous book. It is very queen, which I hadn’t seen anywhere before reading so it was a pleasant surprise, and it was sad which I also hadn’t seen but it was done tastefully and beautifully. I would highly recommend this book to almost everyone.

So that’s what I read this month! If you’ve read any of these, what were your thoughts? I’d love to hear them!

Happy Reading!
